CARDIFF, Mar. 29, 2003 (AMP) — Portugal 2004 (Qualifiers) : Wales defeated Azerbaijan by a big score of 4-0 (halftime: 3-0), in a qualifying game for the 2004 UEFA European Championship on Saturday.
The result put the Welsh top of Group 9 with 12 points. Azerbaijan is bottom with one point. In their next game, Wales will meet second-placed Yugoslavia on August 20, while Azerbaijan will face Yugoslavia.
