Germany beats Turkey to reach Euro final
BASEL, Jun. 25, 2008 (AMP) — Austria Swizerland 2008 : Germany reached the UEFA Euro final for the sixth time in their history with a 3-2 win against Turkey (halftime: 1-1) on Wednesday night at St. Jakob-Park in Basel.
Uğur opened the score in the 22nd minute, before seeing Germany catch up in the 26th minute thanks to Bastian Schweinsteiger. 1-1 at half time. The Germans eventually won the game in the second period with two more goals by Klose ('79) and Lahm ('90).
