ALMATY, Oct. 11, 2006 (AMP) — Austria Swizerland 2008 (Qualifiers) : Finland defeated Kazakhstan by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2008 UEFA European Championship on Wednesday night.
The result put the Finnish second in Group A with 8 points. Kazakhstan is 6th with 2 points. In their next game, Finland will meet Armenia on November 15, while Kazakhstan will face Portugal.
