ALMATY, Jun. 2, 2007 (AMP) — Austria Swizerland 2008 (Qualifiers) : Armenia defeated Kazakhstan by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2008 UEFA European Championship on Saturday night.
The result put the Kazakh 6th in Group A with 5 points. Armenia is 7th with 4 points. In their next game, Kazakhstan will meet Azerbaijan on June 6, while Armenia will face Poland.
