YEREVAN, Aug. 22, 2007 (AMP) — Austria Swizerland 2008 (Qualifiers) : Armenia tied 1-1 with Portugal (halftime: 1-1), in a qualifying game for the 2008 UEFA European Championship on Wednesday night.
The result put the Portuguese third in Group A with 15 points. Armenia is 5th with 8 points. In their next game, Portugal will meet group leaders Poland on September 8, while Armenia will face Serbia.
