BRUSSELS, Aug. 22, 2007 (AMP) — Austria Swizerland 2008 (Qualifiers) : Belgium defeated Serbia by a score of 3-2 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2008 UEFA European Championship on Wednesday night.
The result put the Serbians fourth in Group A with 14 points. Belgium is 5th with 10 points. In their next game, Serbia will meet second-placed Finland on September 8, while Belgium will face Kazakhstan.
