TAMPERE, Aug. 22, 2007 (AMP) — Austria Swizerland 2008 (Qualifiers) : Finland defeated Kazakhstan by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-1), in a qualifying game for the 2008 UEFA European Championship on Wednesday night.
The result put the Finnish second in Group A with 17 points. Kazakhstan is 7th with 6 points. In their next game, Finland will meet Serbia on September 8, while Kazakhstan will face Belgium.
