LISBON, Sep. 12, 2007 (AMP) — Austria Swizerland 2008 (Qualifiers) : Portugal tied 1-1 with Serbia (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2008 UEFA European Championship on Wednesday night.
The result put the Portuguese third in Group A with 17 points. Serbia is fourth with 16 points. In their next game, Portugal will meet Azerbaijan on October 13, while Serbia will face Armenia.
