BAKU, Oct. 13, 2007 (AMP) — Austria Swizerland 2008 (Qualifiers) : Portugal defeated Azerbaijan by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2008 UEFA European Championship on Saturday night.
The result put the Portuguese second in Group A with 20 points. Azerbaijan is bottom with 5 points. In their next game, Portugal will meet Kazakhstan on October 17, while Azerbaijan will face Serbia.
