WARSAW, Oct. 13, 2007 (AMP) — Austria Swizerland 2008 (Qualifiers) : Poland defeated Kazakhstan by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 0-1), in a qualifying game for the 2008 UEFA European Championship on Saturday night.
The result put the Pole top of Group A with 24 points. Kazakhstan is 7th with 7 points. In their next game, Poland will meet Belgium on November 17, while Kazakhstan will face Portugal.
