HELSINKI, Nov. 17, 2007 (AMP) — Austria Swizerland 2008 (Qualifiers) : Finland defeated Azerbaijan by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2008 UEFA European Championship on Saturday afternoon.
The result put the Finnish third in Group A with 23 points. Azerbaijan is bottom with 5 points. In their last game, Finland will meet second-placed Portugal on November 21, while Azerbaijan will face Belgium.
