MONTBéLIARD, Oct. 11, 2006 (AMP) — Austria Swizerland 2008 (Qualifiers) : France defeated the Faroe islands by a big score of 5-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2008 UEFA European Championship on Wednesday night.
The result put the French top of Group B with 9 points. The Faroe islands is bottom with no points. In their next game, France will meet Lithuania on March 24, while the Faroe islands will face Ukraine.
