TOFTIR, Mar. 24, 2007 (AMP) — Austria Swizerland 2008 (Qualifiers) : Ukraine defeated the Faroe islands by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2008 UEFA European Championship on Saturday afternoon.
The result put the Ukrainians third in Group B with 9 points. The Faroe islands is bottom with no points. In their next game, Ukraine will meet Lithuania on March 28, while the Faroe islands will face Georgia.
