TBILISI, Mar. 28, 2007 (AMP) — Austria Swizerland 2008 (Qualifiers) : Georgia defeated the Faroe islands by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2008 UEFA European Championship on Wednesday night.
The result put the Georgians 5th in Group B with 6 points. The Faroe islands is bottom with no points. In their next game, Georgia will meet Lithuania on June 2, while the Faroe islands will face Italy.
