TóRSHAVN, Jun. 2, 2007 (AMP) — Austria Swizerland 2008 (Qualifiers) : Italy defeated the Faroe islands by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2008 UEFA European Championship on Saturday night.
The result put the Italians top of Group B with 13 points. The Faroe islands is bottom with no points. In their next game, Italy will meet Lithuania on June 6, while the Faroe islands will face Scotland.
