TOFTIR, Jun. 6, 2007 (AMP) — Austria Swizerland 2008 (Qualifiers) : Scotland defeated the Faroe islands by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2008 UEFA European Championship on Wednesday afternoon.
The result put the Scot second in Group B with 15 points. The Faroe islands is bottom with no points. In their next game, Scotland will meet Lithuania on September 8, while the Faroe islands will face Lithuania.
