KAUNAS, Jun. 6, 2007 (AMP) — Austria Swizerland 2008 (Qualifiers) : Italy defeated Lithuania by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2008 UEFA European Championship on Wednesday night.
The result put the Italians second in Group B with 16 points. Lithuania is 5th with 7 points. In their next game, Italy will meet group leaders France on September 8, while Lithuania will face Scotland.
