GLASGOW, Sep. 8, 2007 (AMP) — Austria Swizerland 2008 (Qualifiers) : Scotland defeated Lithuania by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2008 UEFA European Championship on Saturday afternoon.
The result put the Scot second in Group B with 18 points. Lithuania is 5th with 7 points. In their next game, Scotland will meet group leaders France on September 12, while Lithuania will face the Faroe islands.
