KIEV, Sep. 12, 2007 (AMP) — Austria Swizerland 2008 (Qualifiers) : Italy defeated Ukraine by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2008 UEFA European Championship on Wednesday night.
The result put the Italians second in Group B with 20 points. Ukraine is fourth with 13 points. In their next game, Italy will meet Georgia on October 13, while Ukraine will face Scotland.
