KAUNAS, Nov. 17, 2007 (AMP) — Austria Swizerland 2008 (Qualifiers) : Lithuania defeated Ukraine by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2008 UEFA European Championship on Saturday night.
The result put the Ukrainians fourth in Group B with 16 points. Lithuania is 5th with 13 points. In their last game, Ukraine will meet second-placed France on November 21, while Lithuania will face Georgia.
