FRANKFURT, Oct. 11, 2006 (AMP) — Austria Swizerland 2008 (Qualifiers) : Turkey defeated Moldova by a big score of 5-0 (halftime: 3-0), in a qualifying game for the 2008 UEFA European Championship on Wednesday night.
The result put the Turk top of Group C with 9 points. Moldova is bottom with one point. In their next game, Turkey will meet second-placed Greece on March 24, while Moldova will face Malta.
