BUDAPEST, Oct. 13, 2007 (AMP) — Austria Swizerland 2008 (Qualifiers) : Hungary defeated Malta by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2008 UEFA European Championship on Saturday afternoon.
The result put the Hungarians 5th in Group C with 12 points. Malta is bottom with 5 points. In their next game, Hungary will meet Moldova on November 17, while Malta will face Moldova.
