ISTANBUL, Oct. 17, 2007 (AMP) — Austria Swizerland 2008 (Qualifiers) : Greece defeated Turkey by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2008 UEFA European Championship on Wednesday night.
The result put the Greek top of Group C with 25 points. Turkey is third with 18 points. In their next game, Greece will meet Malta on November 17, while Turkey will face Norway.
