BRATISLAVA, Sep. 2, 2006 (AMP) — Austria Swizerland 2008 (Qualifiers) : Slovakia defeated Cyprus by a big score of 6-1 (halftime: 3-0), in a qualifying game for the 2008 UEFA European Championship on Saturday night.
The result put the Slovak top of Group D with 3 points. In their next game, Slovakia will meet second-placed Czech republic on September 6, while Cyprus will face Ireland.
