DUBLIN, Oct. 11, 2006 (AMP) — Austria Swizerland 2008 (Qualifiers) : Ireland tied 1-1 with Czech republic (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2008 UEFA European Championship on Wednesday night.
The result put the Czech top of Group D with 10 points. Ireland is 5th with one point. In their next game, Czech republic will meet second-placed Germany on March 24, while Ireland will face San Marino.
