NICOSIA, Nov. 15, 2006 (AMP) — Austria Swizerland 2008 (Qualifiers) : Cyprus tied 1-1 with Germany (halftime: 1-1), in a qualifying game for the 2008 UEFA European Championship on Wednesday night.
The result put the Germans top of Group D with 10 points. Cyprus is 5th with 4 points. In their next game, Germany will meet second-placed Czech republic on March 24, while Cyprus will face Slovakia.
