BRATISLAVA, Sep. 8, 2007 (AMP) — Austria Swizerland 2008 (Qualifiers) : Slovakia tied 2-2 with Ireland (halftime: 1-1), in a qualifying game for the 2008 UEFA European Championship on Saturday night.
The result put the Irish third in Group D with 14 points. Slovakia is fourth with 10 points. In their next game, Ireland will meet second-placed Czech republic on September 12, while Slovakia will face Wales.
