PRAGUE, Sep. 12, 2007 (AMP) — Austria Swizerland 2008 (Qualifiers) : Czech republic defeated Ireland by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2008 UEFA European Championship on Wednesday night.
The result put the Czech second in Group D with 20 points. Ireland is third with 14 points. In their next game, Czech republic will meet group leaders Germany on October 17, while Ireland will face Germany.
