TRNAVA, Sep. 12, 2007 (AMP) — Austria Swizerland 2008 (Qualifiers) : Wales defeated Slovakia by a score of 5-2 (halftime: 3-1), in a qualifying game for the 2008 UEFA European Championship on Wednesday night.
The result put the Slovak fourth in Group D with 10 points. Wales is 5th with 10 points. In their next game, Slovakia will meet San Marino on October 13, while Wales will face Cyprus.
