DUBLIN, Oct. 17, 2007 (AMP) — Austria Swizerland 2008 (Qualifiers) : Ireland tied 1-1 with Cyprus (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2008 UEFA European Championship on Wednesday night.
The result put the Irish third in Group D with 16 points. Cyprus is fourth with 14 points. In their last game, Ireland will meet Wales on November 17, while Cyprus will face Germany.
