SERRAVALLE, Oct. 17, 2007 (AMP) — Austria Swizerland 2008 (Qualifiers) : Wales defeated San Marino by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2008 UEFA European Championship on Wednesday night.
The result put the Welsh 6th in Group D with 13 points. San Marino is bottom with no points. In their next game, Wales will meet third-placed Ireland on November 17, while San Marino will face Slovakia.
