RAMAT-GAN, Nov. 15, 2006 (AMP) — Austria Swizerland 2008 (Qualifiers) : Croatia defeated Israel by a score of 4-3 (halftime: 2-1), in a qualifying game for the 2008 UEFA European Championship on Wednesday night.
The result put the Croatians top of Group E with 10 points. Israel is fourth with 7 points. In their next game, Croatia will meet Macedonia on March 24, while Israel will face England.
