SKOPJE, Nov. 15, 2006 (AMP) — Austria Swizerland 2008 (Qualifiers) : Russia defeated Macedonia by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2008 UEFA European Championship on Wednesday afternoon.
The result put the Russians top of Group E with 8 points. Macedonia is 5th with 7 points. In their next game, Russia will meet Estonia on March 24, while Macedonia will face Croatia.
