SKOPJE, Jun. 2, 2007 (AMP) — Austria Swizerland 2008 (Qualifiers) : Israel defeated Macedonia by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 2-1), in a qualifying game for the 2008 UEFA European Championship on Saturday night.
The result put the Israelians second in Group E with 14 points. Macedonia is 5th with 7 points. In their next game, Israel will meet Andorra on June 6, while Macedonia will face Russia.
