MOSCOW, Sep. 8, 2007 (AMP) — Austria Swizerland 2008 (Qualifiers) : Russia defeated Macedonia by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2008 UEFA European Championship on Saturday night.
The result put the Russians top of Group E with 18 points. Macedonia is 5th with 7 points. In their next game, Russia will meet second-placed England on September 12, while Macedonia will face Estonia.
