ZAGREB, Oct. 13, 2007 (AMP) — Austria Swizerland 2008 (Qualifiers) : Croatia defeated Israel by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2008 UEFA European Championship on Saturday night.
The result put the Croatians top of Group E with 26 points. Israel is fourth with 17 points. In their next game, Croatia will meet Macedonia on November 17, while Israel will face Russia.
