REYKJAVíK, Sep. 6, 2006 (AMP) — Austria Swizerland 2008 (Qualifiers) : Denmark defeated Iceland by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2008 UEFA European Championship on Wednesday night.

The result put the Dane second in Group F with 3 points. Iceland is third with 3 points. In their next game, Denmark will meet Northern Ireland on October 7, while Iceland will face Latvia.
