SOLNA, Oct. 7, 2006 (AMP) — Austria Swizerland 2008 (Qualifiers) : Sweden defeated Spain by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2008 UEFA European Championship on Saturday night.

The result put the Swedish top of Group F with 9 points. Spain is fourth with 3 points. In their next game, Sweden will meet Iceland on October 11, while Spain will face Denmark.
