VADUZ, Mar. 24, 2007 (AMP) — Austria Swizerland 2008 (Qualifiers) : Northern Ireland defeated Liechtenstein by a score of 4-1 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2008 UEFA European Championship on Saturday night.
The result put the Irish second in Group F with 10 points. Liechtenstein is bottom with no points. In their next game, Northern Ireland will meet group leaders Sweden on March 28, while Liechtenstein will face Latvia.
