COPENHAGEN, Oct. 17, 2007 (AMP) — Austria Swizerland 2008 (Qualifiers) : Denmark defeated Latvia by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2008 UEFA European Championship on Wednesday night.
The result put the Dane third in Group F with 17 points. Latvia is 5th with 9 points. In their next game, Denmark will meet Northern Ireland on November 17, while Latvia will face Liechtenstein.
