BELFAST, Nov. 17, 2007 (AMP) — Austria Swizerland 2008 (Qualifiers) : Northern Ireland defeated Denmark by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2008 UEFA European Championship on Saturday night.
The result put the Irish third in Group F with 20 points. Denmark is fourth with 17 points. In their last game, Northern Ireland will meet second-placed Spain on November 21, while Denmark will face Iceland.
