BUCHAREST, Oct. 7, 2006 (AMP) — Austria Swizerland 2008 (Qualifiers) : Romania defeated Belarus by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 2-1), in a qualifying game for the 2008 UEFA European Championship on Saturday night.
The result put the Romanians top of Group G with 7 points. Belarus is 5th with one point. In their next game, Romania will meet second-placed the Netherlands on March 24, while Belarus will face Slovenia.
