AMSTERDAM, Oct. 11, 2006 (AMP) — Austria Swizerland 2008 (Qualifiers) : The Netherlands defeated Albania by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2008 UEFA European Championship on Wednesday night.
The result put the Dutch top of Group G with 10 points. Albania is 6th with one point. In their next game, the Netherlands will meet third-placed Romania on March 24, while Albania will face Slovenia.
