SOFIA, Jun. 6, 2007 (AMP) — Austria Swizerland 2008 (Qualifiers) : Bulgaria defeated Belarus by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 2-1), in a qualifying game for the 2008 UEFA European Championship on Wednesday night.
The result put the Bulgarians top of Group G with 15 points. Belarus is fourth with 7 points. In their next game, Bulgaria will meet third-placed the Netherlands on September 8, while Belarus will face Romania.
