TIMIşOARA, Jun. 6, 2007 (AMP) — Austria Swizerland 2008 (Qualifiers) : Romania defeated Slovenia by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2008 UEFA European Championship on Wednesday night.
The result put the Romanians top of Group G with 17 points. Slovenia is 6th with 4 points. In their next game, Romania will meet Belarus on September 8, while Slovenia will face Luxembourg.
