LUXEMBOURG, Oct. 17, 2007 (AMP) — Austria Swizerland 2008 (Qualifiers) : Romania defeated Luxembourg by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2008 UEFA European Championship on Wednesday night.
The result put the Romanians top of Group G with 26 points. Luxembourg is bottom with 3 points. In their next game, Romania will meet third-placed Bulgaria on November 17, while Luxembourg will face the Netherlands.
