Germany beats Greece to advance to Euro semifinals
GDANSK, Jun. 22, 2012 (AMP) — Poland Ukraine 2012 : Germany reached the semifinals of the 2012 UEFA Euro with a 4-2 win against Greece (halftime: 1-0) on Friday night at the PGE Arena in Gdansk.
Germany dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by defender Philipp Lahm in the 39th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Germans further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Khedira '61, Klose '68 and Reus '74).
