Italy beats England in shoot out to advance to Euro semifinals
KIEV, Jun. 24, 2012 (AMP) — Poland Ukraine 2012 : Italy reached the semifinals of the 2012 UEFA Euro after defeating England 4-2 on penalties (after a 0-0 draw) on Sunday night at the Kiev Olympic Stadium.
The score was still nil-all at the end of the regulation game time and overtime. The Italians finally emerged the victors in the penalty shootout session by winning 4-2.
