Spain beats Italy 4-0 to win 2012 Euro
KIEV, Jul. 1, 2012 (AMP) — Poland Ukraine 2012 : Spain claimed a third UEFA Euro crown with a 4-0 win against Italy (halftime: 2-0) in the final on Sunday night at the Kiev Olympic Stadium.
Spain dominated the first half thanks to goals from Silva ('14) and Alba ('41). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Spaniards further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Torres '84 and Mata '88).
