ŽILINA, Oct. 7, 2011 (AMP) — Poland Ukraine 2012 (Qualifiers) : Russia defeated Slovakia by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2012 UEFA European Championship on Friday night.
The result put the Russians top of Group B with 20 points. Slovakia is fourth with 14 points. In their last game, Russia will meet Andorra on October 11, while Slovakia will face Macedonia.
